Curtis Nuttall / Vice President, Risk & Technical Division
Longtime Alyeska employee Curtis Nuttall transitioned into the position of Vice President of the APSC Risk and Technical Division in 2015. In this role, he oversees the Risk and Technical Division, which is responsible for Projects and Project Controls, Engineering, System Integrity, Health, Safety, Environment and Enterprise Risk.
Curtis joined Alyeska as a senior engineering project leader in 1989. Since, he has served in numerous positions, including senior project manager, senior project engineer, and Strategic Sourcing and Contracts Department manager. His responsibilities included managing numerous multidiscipline industrial and commercial engineering and project activities. In his most recent position as director of Projects & Project Controls, he led a diverse department of over 60 staff accountable for more than $350 million in projects that spanned from TAPS operations to IT.
Curtis is a Graduate with Honors from the University of Colorado with a degree in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer. He was born in Taiwan and raised in Australia and Singapore; his father was an engineer on several large projects around the world. In 1982, Curtis married his wife, Isabel, a special education teacher, and they moved to Alaska. They have one son, Matthew, who is a business major. Curtis’ interests include reading, cooking, oenology and viticulture, music, fishing and travel.
