Kim Harb named to
Alyeska Washington, DC office
ANCHORAGE, AK –
Alyeska Pipeline Service Company
is pleased to announce the appointment of Kim Harb to be
Alyeska's Federal Government Relations Manager. In this role,
Harb will act as liaison between Alyeska Pipeline and the
Federal Government, Congress, Executive Branch and Federal
Government Regulators. This position was previously held by
Willie Hensley, who retired in January 2008 after an
accomplished professional and public service career.

team,” said Kristi Acuff, Alyeska Senior Vice President Employee
and External Relations. “Kim's brings a unique blend of
experience with oil industry and familiarity with the
Washington, DC culture that positions her to be an effective
advocate for Alyeska.”
Most recently, Harb worked for the National Ocean Industries
Association (NOIA) as Director, Policy & Government Affairs.
NOIA is the only national trade association representing all
segments of the offshore energy industry. Before joining NOIA,
Harb led the Federal Public Land Practice at Jones, Day, Reavis
and Pogue. In this capacity, she provided legal services to
energy clients on energy and federal public lands issues, and
advocated on behalf of clients before federal and state
agencies. Harb earned her law degree from Syracuse University
College of Law, and her B.A. from Washington College. She has
been a licensed attorney since 1991.

Headquartered in Anchorage, Alyeska operates the Trans Alaska
Pipeline System (TAPS). The 800-mile pipeline celebrated its
30th anniversary during the summer of 2007. In its traverse from
Prudhoe Bay on the North Slope south to the Port of Valdez, the
northernmost ice-free port in the Untied States, the pipeline
crosses three mountain ranges and 34 major rivers and streams.
The company also maintains operations in Fairbanks and Valdez
and at various pump stations along the line. Since operations
began, more than 15 billion barrels of Alaska North Slope crude
oil have been loaded onto tankers at the Valdez Marine Terminal.
Alyeska Pipeline Service Company was created to construct,
operate, and maintain TAPS for the Owner companies. The TAPS
Owners are BP Pipelines (Alaska), ConocoPhillips Transportation
Alaska, ExxonMobil Pipeline Company, Unocal Pipeline Company,
and Koch Alaska Pipeline Company.
